Own a convertible car? Like to walk on the beach? Feel like your wig is going to fly off in the wind?
Here are some great tips - straight from The Wig Experts!

    1) Try the Sure Grip by BeautiMark for lasting comfort and security.

    2) Try sewing toupee clips into the fabric wefting of your wig (not a monofilament or hand-tied wig). If you know how to use a needle and thread, you can do this! Just be careful and gentle. This will add extra security by fastening the wig to your own hair, just like hair extensions do.

Australian Kurv Magazine has the gorgeous Kim Kardashian gracing the latest issue’s cover and featured in an editorial. But she isn't playing 'Kim'... she's playing Barbie! The entire issue is devoted to all things Barbie - apparently she's even the guest editor!
"But Kim is not usually a blonde," you say. Many of her gorgeous looks were achieved using beautiful blonde wigs and extensions. She even dyed her raven-dark hair for the shoot! Kim is looking fierce as a modern and high fashion interpretation of Barbie. Some photos even have her posing with a very muscular Ken.

Tony Duran - the photographer - said of the Barbie shoot, “What Barbie represents to me is a sort of a timeline of women in American history all packaged up in a bit over the top-almost unachievable figure. A bit of Jessica rabbit does the history channel! In my mind, Barbie is at best a blonde. So when the outrageously curvy Kim Kardashian called and said she was going blonde for the week, it was game on.”

We agree, Tony. Kim was a great choice. Could this be the best she has ever looked? We think so!

Angelina Jolie doesn't just kick major ass in her latest movie SALT (which released over the weekend), she also experiments with wigs! In the film, Angie’s character Evelyn Salt is accused of being a Russian spy. To disguise herself, she trades her sweet blonde locks...

for a sexy European raven-haired look...

Any director will tell you that the easiest way to make this hair switch in the film biz is to use wigs. Changing and experimenting with your look can be that easy. For Salt’s long and straight with bangs style, try the Jaela wig by Tony of Beverly - both in blonde or a dark color.

Let's face it, we all sweat in the summer. If you like to wear long wigs, you may really be feeling the heat. How do you beat the heat? ...

Try braiding your wig. Simply pull the length of the wig to the side. Then braid the hair loosely, or affix a hair elastic every inch or so along the length. Advanced braiders can even try creating a fishtail plait; these look way more complicated than they actually are to do. Secure the braid or fishtail with a ribbon, hair elastic, or bobby pin.
And voila! This gets the hair off your neck. You’ll look summer sweet and nix the sticky wig caused by sweat!

MYTH: I have to wash my wig as often as I wash my own hair.

FACT: The general rule of thumb is wash every 7-10 wearings, but it depends on the environment and the amount of styling products you use. If you use styling products like the shaping creme or hairspray on your wig every day, you'll need to wash and revitalize your wig more often than those who do not use products. Also, if you live in a very rainy or humid climate, you may also need to wash your wig more often.

Because wigs do not have the benefit of natural oils like our own hair, the less you wash – the better! But wear your wig too long without washing it and it can look old and dingy. To refresh and wash your wigs (whether synthetic or human hair), use BeautiMark brand of shampoos, conditioners, and other styling products.

One great thing about the bob hairstyle is that it is always evolving. Seasons and decades may come and go, but the bob hairstyle never fades in popularity - it just changes shape! Bangs or no bangs, layered or blunt cut, bobs are a chic summer look because they're easy and breezy.

Celebs like these gorgeous gals each wear their own unique version of the bob:

    Kirsten Dunst
Kirsten wears her bob mid-length and one length with side-swept bangs.
    Maggie Gyllenhaal
Maggie likes the short, pert bob that kisses her jawline.
    Victoria Beckham
Victoria has always rocked great asymmetrical cuts. She wears her bob cropped with a longer side-swept bang and loose waves.
    Salma Hayek
Salma keeps it sultry and mid-length with subtle flips and curves throughout.
Bob haircuts can flatter any face shape. You'll surely be able to find a bob hairstyle that works for you. Discover your bob on Wigs.com. Bob wigs look natural and always keep up with the latest hair trends.

Susan G. Komen Dallas just sent out their promotional postcard reminding everyone to register for the upcoming 2010 Race for the Cure. Guess who they featured on the front…

    Wigs.com employees !

Proudly wearing bright pink wigs are members of the Wigs.com team. The guys even wore them! Among other Wigs.com employees, these 4 participated in the 2009 Race for the Cure event in Dallas. As a group, they wore bright pink China Doll wigs by Jon Renau. It's one of our favorite costume wigs, and the team was among a sea of thousands of other race participants also wearing pink wigs, pink costumes, pink running gear, and more.

Wigs.com is excited to have an even larger presence at this year’s race. Think Pink!

Tina Turner, Nikki Minaj and Phil Spector – all renowned wig wearers expertly illustrating what NOT to wear when it comes to wigs. Tina looks as though she may be the opening act for Siegfried & Roy, Phil seems a little spooked, and Nikki is all confused...

    Tina Turner
DONT wear a wig that has you resembling Mufasa from the Lion King.

    Nikki Minaj

DONT pair a crazy costume wig with an even worse costume. Or is it just an evening outfit? Either way, we're not fans of the dual-texture pink wig and bleached denim too-tight jumpsuit ensemble.
    Phil Spector
DONT wear a wig that looks like you stuck your finger in a light socket. Mr Spector, we understand that you may be thinning on top, but a frizzy dandelion-inspired wig is not the way to combat it.

Those were Wig DONTs from Wigs.com - The Wig Experts!

EEK! Don’t let this happen to you :

It’s summertime and Raquel Welch’s lace front doesn’t match her newly bronzed skin. Even wig divas like Raquel get it wrong sometimes, so no worries. How do you insure against this wig faux pas?...

TIP:  If you get a tan, your lace front should match! Try dabbing a damp tea bag onto the lace material so it dyes the lace of the wig to match. The more you dab, the darker the color. The pros have been doing this simple and easy trick for years! You can even have two lace front wigs - one to match your tan summer skintone and one to match your more pale winter skintone.
