This spring’s key trend reflects what’s natural about the individual, which means natural hair textures are a big thing. One effect of this trend is the emphasis on styles that are artful, yet easy to manage. Get ready for a season of simple hairstyles in textures of every kind.

    Bobs

Why not go bold? Short hair is having a major moment right now with bobs in different styles holding their own in the spotlight. This look has been modernized with wavy textures that are tousled to embrace the natural trend.

Soft Focus by Raquel Welch offers a human hair interpretation of the long bob, which means you get the most natural and longest lasting styling versatility with a soft side-swept bang.

Or Maybe you want a more intentional look. For a naturally-straight-hair take on this trend, go more sleek and polished with Ignite shown here in color 1BRH30. Our example features angled layers with bold, golden-red highlights that offer a fresh take on brunette beauty.

    Long Hair

Who doesn’t want long hair? An updated example of this celebrated favorite adds texture and face framing layers which creates movement all around while adding volume at the crown. It’s a beautiful hairstyle with a slept-in vibe that looks absolutely chic.

Cascade by Ellen Wille is made of 100% Remy human hair. This means that all the hair fibers go in the same direction to deliver a gorgeous long cut with soft layers that fall below the shoulder. The 100% hand-tied cap, lace front and monofilament top create natural movement as well as provide super comfort.

Featured here in 24BT18S8, Zara is all about long layers and softly feathered ends that deliver a natural looking style that’s flirty and feminine. The golden brown and warm platinum blonde highlights give the wig a honeyed effect which is part of the warm color trend we mentioned in our last post.

    Mid-lengths

Modern and fresh, mid-length styles are being embraced in a major way this season! It’s the signature look for those who want a flattering style without being weighed down by hair. Remember to channel bed-head styles to take advantage of this trend.

Scarlett by Jon Renau is a perfect example of the 'midi' style. It’s a light and breezy synthetic wig that features perfect beachy waves that can be styled with your fingers to achieve the best results.

Carrie Exclusive by Jon Renau offers a sleek and polished version of this style that looks up-street with its sleek finish, gentle curves and a side-swept, full fringe. This particular wig takes advantage of Renau's Exclusive color technique to deliver a gloriously natural hue in color 613/102S8.

This season is all about bringing out your personality by emphasizing everything that’s uniquely you. With so many cuts and styles to inspire you we’re sure there’s one out there for you to try. Don’t forget to comment down below and tell us which one is your favorite.

Spring is finally here and what better time to consider a COLOR change? This year’s go-to hair color emphasizes the natural with cooler hues of blonde, brunette, and red to fit your complexion and undertones. We’ve put together the best hair color ideas as well as useful examples to help you take advantage of this season’s most beautiful trend for wig lovers.

    Blondes

This spring’s golden locks are featured with darker roots and darker shades for a more natural appearance. Bronde is a fusion of blonde and brunette. It’s a way for blondes to get into the cool color trend without going too dark. For this look, find a dark blonde or light brown shade that works for you with just the right amount of golden highlights for a natural-looking honeyed color.

    Brunettes

Brunette hair is wonderfully versatile and its popularity lies in the fact that it complements every skin tone. This season’s trend features woodsey hues ranging from caramel to chocolate with just the right amount of subtle blonde highlights to create movement. This spring consider the right mix of warm and cool browns to give your hair a velvety appearance.

    Red

This spring brings with it a powerful color trend for ginger fans that’s gaining traction. Ronze is a mixture of copper-red and bronze which delivers a tone that is coppery and autumnal for a natural effect. It’s a perfect color for fair complexions with contrast that warms the skin, yet it has the versatility to complement all complexions with shades that range from light to dark.

    Day 48

It's confirmed, blondes do get more attention. But surprisingly it was as a redhead that I received the most flirts. Maybe redheads are more approachable? I love having the luxury of choice so much that I’ve decided to go past my 30 day commitment. Wigs feel so much like another accessory that I now plan outfits around different styles and colors. This must be how women in the 50's and 60's felt as wigs and hair was the ultimate accessory used to finish a look. Except, the hair quality is phenomenally better now!!!

    DAY 52

I was at the airport today and as I walked through security I began thinking about setting off alarms. Would I have to take my wig off? I began playing through different ways I could deflect embarrassment. I got through okay, but that brief moment of apprehension stayed with me. It left me thinking about the anxiety a woman who’s not yet ready to reveal to the world that she wears a wig must feel in such a situation. It’s such a shame that there are women who wear or want to wear wigs that fear being stigmatized.

    DAY 65

You know you're in love with something when you can't put it away! I decided to extend my wig wearing adventure until the end of the year. But as 2015 came to a close and 2016 began, I found myself still reaching for a wig in the morning. I never thought I would feel this way about wigs. They appeal to the side of me that’s gotten spoiled by having perfect hair every day. Seriously, I haven't been to the hairdresser in quite a while (saved some money there too). So it looks like I'll be wearing wigs for another 14 days until I can get my hair done.

    DAY 80+

Going through this journey has helped me arrive at a new appreciation for my clients, especially the women that wear wigs daily as a necessity. What I love most about wigs is their extraordinary ability to transform your mood, and confidence level, in an instant! Whether you’re new to wigs or an experienced wig wearer, I hope this piece has been helpful. I would love to get your feedback. Please feel free to share your wig experience below and I look forward to sharing with you all again.

The key to pulling off any great look is confidence. And whether you have a round, square, long, oval or heart-shaped face, there’s a beautiful hairstyle that’s perfect to help you set the mood this Valentine’s Day. Our Wig Experts selected 5 picks based on customer feedback from our top rated brands with style tips you can mix and match to create a romantic look you’ll feel confident about.

Long hair tends to lengthen a round face shape. A few inches below the chin or longer with straight hair makes the sides of the face seem smaller. Gentle waves that begin below the lips can also reduce roundness. To achieve this look, we recommend Amber by Jon Renau.

Consider adding little braids on the sides and pinning them back, or simply twisting the hair on the sides and pinning them back for that romantic flair.

Long bobs elongate a square face. The angles on this face shape can be softened with waves, curls and side-swept bangs that graze the brows. You may also consider a middle part to achieve the same effect. Try this look with Jolie by Noriko.

You can have your stylist trim it shorter in the back, being mindful to keep the hair longer in the front and keeping the pieces soft and layered.

The goal for a long face is to create the illusion of width. Shoulder length hair (anywhere between chin and shoulders) with waves will give you a romantic look. We recommend Upstage by Raquel Welch to achieve this look.

Consider asking your stylist for an a-line long bob, avoiding anything that adds layers to the top of your head. You can try bangs, any style from blunt, to long, or side swept will make the face appear shorter by covering the forehead. A side part is an idea that will make your face appear wider, minimizing the length. If you prefer longer hair, try it with waves or curls.

For oval faces, any chin to shoulder length hair that is long in the back and shorter in the front, with layers near the cheekbones, lips, chin or any area you want to highlight is ideal. You can add beachy waves for a touch of romance. To achieve this look, we recommend Shannon by Rene of Paris.

Pixie hairstyles are feminine and look particularly good on a heart-shaped face because they tend to emphasize the cheekbones and eyes. To achieve this look we recommend Risk by Ellen Wille.

Sideswept bangs are another favorite which draw attention down and towards the eyes on a heart-shaped face. You may also want to try a graduated bob with a bit of a wave, or a chin-length bob that’s heavier at the bottom. If you want curly hair be sure to have them tapered at the ends. If you prefer long hair, try it with bangs, or soft curls to soften a pointy chin. Remember to keep top layers soft and long with this face shape.

We’d love to hear from you. Please share your photos and comments with us on Instagram and Facebook!
