    Everything old is new again!

For months now we’ve noticed a retro vibe creeping onto the hair worn on the red carpets and fashion runways alike. At the beginning of the year we saw the revival of pin curls and finger waves, but now the hair has gotten better (and bigger) than ever! From ponytails to beehives, these old favorites are getting revamped in trendy ways.

This season you can recreate any of these hairstyles with a colorful twist!

    Back to the Future

Demi Lovato revived the 1950s hair roll with her pink-tipped hair. The look has ‘rockabilly’ written all over it, but if you add a little bit of color you too can rock a modern take on the pin-up look with color hair extensions. If you're a wig wearer, make sure to wear a monofilament wig when recreating the hair roll to ensure the most realistic look.

The 1960s beehive may have been Amy Winehouse’s signature style, but Teen Vogue magazine gave it a major makeover with huge neon dyed hair. You can get the same look without the commitment by clipping in colorful extensions into your hair or wig. (Psst… the brighter the better!)

Madonna brought back the “I Dream of Jeannie” ponytail in the 90s, but this year we’ve seen it on a ton of celebrities including Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato. Katy Perry gave it her personal touch with extra-long color hair extensions. A ponytail hairpiece can give you the high pony look. Plus, by pairing it up with clip-in color hair extensions you can splash some life into it and still keep up with the trend.

What will be the next trend to resurface? Whether it’s the Afro, The Rachel (too soon?) or the Mohawk, you can count on us to help you with the details!

Try a ponytail hairpiece to add length and flair to your summer hairstyles. A ponytail hair extension like the 23” Wrap Around Pony is made from heat-friendly synthetic hair so you can curl or straighten it depending on how you’d like to style it.

    Wear it…

    1. Low and to the side for a boho look.
    2. In a fishtail braid to give your fingers a workout!
    3. In a high and straight ponytail to channel the 90s.

Hair Wrap Stylemaker POP Summer Hair

A hair wrap is a girl’s best friend. This is a piece you can throw on in a second, but still manage to look super chic in the end. We know the scrunchie has gotten a bad rep over the years but the Stylemaker Hairwrap has completely converted us to the ‘wrap-n-go’ hairstyle!

    Wear it…

    1. Low and messy for a chic but relaxed style.
    2. Straight and spiky for a funky edgy look.

This season, hair color is required! Colorful and bold hair is hot, and color hair extensions are totally on trend! Try easilites hair extensions in as many colors as you’d like to shock and impress this summer.

    Wear it…

    1. In a sleek ponytail to liven it up.
    2. Braided into your hair for a Technicolor plait.
    3. In an updo to electrify your pompadour.

If edgy color is not your thing, try a sweet and simple braided headband, like the Serenity for a boho-chic look.

    Wear it…

    1. As a headband to keep the hair off your face.
    2. Across your forehead for that 70s look.
    3. As a garland in a messy updo for a milkmaid hairstyle.

For MAJOR flair, try both the easilites and a Serenity headband (or two) together!

    Wedding Hairstyle

You only get married once in a lifetime… for the first time (hey, it happens!). Which is why you are expected to look picture perfect on your wedding day. Now I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of pressure.

Besides the dress, the wedding hairstyle and makeup are two of the most essential components of that picture-perfect look. Like makeup, the hair must be expertly sculpted into place. This is easier said than done, especially if it happens to rain on your wedding day. So what’s a gal to do?

    Wigs for Your Wedding Hairstyle

Believe it or not, it’s ok to wig out on your wedding day. No, seriously it is, and no one will call you Bridezilla either.

In other words, you have the option of choosing to wear a wig for your wedding hairstyle. You’re guaranteed a head full of beautiful hair and the perfect wedding hairstyle just the way you like it.

Convinced yet? Well, before you run off to make your purchase, here are a couple of tips you’ll want to consider prior to choosing your wedding hairstyle.

Wig Tips for Your Wedding Hairstyle

    1. Lace is usually associated with weddings for its delicate and intricate beauty. While it’s true that a lace wedding dress is not for everyone, a lace front wig certainly is. Lace front wigs are going to offer the most natural and seamless appearance, because the lace front is made from a mesh-like material that is designed to blend in with your skin to mimic your natural hairline. This helps disguise the wig so that no one can tell where it begins. Tip: If the lace front does not match your skin tone, you can use makeup to blend it into your skin.
    2. Updos are the quintessential go-to wedding hairstyle because of their elegant and put-together look. And, guess what? You can wear a wig in an updo as well. The trick is to keep the style low and loose, in order to hide the wig at the nape. You can wear a low chignon, side updo, or even a loose pony – all of these looks will result in a beautiful and romantic wedding hairstyle. Tip: Apply some adhesive or tape to keep the weight of the hair from pulling back the wig.
    3. Another crucial point to consider is the kind of fiber to purchase. If you’re set on the wedding hairstyle you want, you may want to purchase a synthetic hair wig in the style you desire. However, if you like a little flexibility, you’ll want to purchase a fiber that is easily customizable such as human hair or heat-friendly synthetic hair. Though when it comes to stylability, human hair wigs are the way to go for your wedding hairstyle. Tip: Human hair wigs such as Angie & Kate will retain fullness and body even after they are washed.

At the end of the day the possibilities for a fabulous wedding hairstyle are endless! With the wide variety of wigs available today you’re sure to find the perfect one for you. Sarah-Catherine, winner of the video contest, wore her favorite go-to wig, Sky by Noriko as her wedding hairstyle. She danced the night away in beautiful picture perfect hair… and you can too.
