Hair color gives the world insight into your personality.

Making the right decision about color can be confusing, not to mention frustrating amidst a cluster of information that seems ever changing. In reality, the most flattering hair color for you is the one that accentuates your attributes to make you look natural... and beautiful.

*When the undertones of a wig are the same as the undertones of your complexion, the wig color will complement your skin giving you a natural and flattering look.

There are 2 things worth considering about your complexion when it comes to finding the most flattering wig color for you: surface tone and undertone.

Surface tone refers to the color of your skin: Is it ivory, peachy, almond, bronze?

Undertone is the color your skin gives off under natural light.

2 Ways to Find Your Undertone

        1. Are your undertones warm or cool?

Figuring this out will require objectivity since two people can have the same skin tone but different undertones.

Consider a color wheel with six colors divided into two groups. On the left side are cool colors which are calm and soothing: green, blue, and violet.

And on the right side are warm colors which are bright and vivid: yellow, orange and red. Does your skin give off a green, blue, and violet hue, or is it more yellow, orange and red?

        2. Roll up your sleeves!

Under natural light, look at the veins on the inside of your wrists.

Are they blue or green? If they look blue, you have cool undertones. If they look green your undertones are warm.

Now that you’re more familiar with your complexion, which color will look best on you?

Complexions with warm undertones will look best in a wig color with warm undertones like orangy reds, champagne, and golden blondes.

Hailey by Noriko | Color: Creamy-Toffee-R

Bailey by Rene of Paris | Color: Butter-Pecan

Complexions with cool undertones look best in wigs with cool undertones like pale blondes, ebony browns, and auburns.

As an internationally known designer, and the creative force behind Envy Wigs, Alan Eaton is excited to present The Envy Spring 2016 Collection! Ranging from short and chic to stylish mid-lengths, this new collection includes 8 designer styles and 5 hairpieces that look, feel, and behave just like real hair.

6 of these new wigs offer every woman multiple options for any occasion with open top design, which means you get volume at the crown along with breathability. The 2 mono top constructions give you the illusion of natural hair growth, and the versatility of parting the hair in any direction.

    Open Top Cap Construction

Jamie is a sassy, classic pixie with short, all over layers and a little boost of volume at the crown.

Jacqueline is a modern pixie that is short on length, but generous in volume. The wispy bangs and perfect layering accentuate your cheekbones.

Mila is a lovely, shoulder-length shag with face-framing layers that compliment any age and face shape. The dramatic layering gives you lots of movement and volume.

Nieci gives you asymmetrical layering with long, brow-skimming bangs for a classy sophisticated look. A touch of volume up top allows for a timeless silhouette.

Cassandra is a stylish, short wig with plenty of face-framing fringe that effortlessly flatters. Soft, razored edges at the sides and nape keep this look edgy and chic.

Angel is a chic, short-layered style with more volume at the crown and longish face framing bangs for an ultra-feminine look.

    Mono Top Cap Construction

Marita is bold, texturized styling at its finest. Feathered layers give it a voluminous look that can be styled sleek or spiky depending on the occasion.

Gigi is sure to turn heads with long, gentle layers, flared ends, and wispy, face-framing bangs.

For as long as we can remember, hair colors with roots exposed were considered taboo. But today’s trend ditches the colorist for a more natural look.

Rooted color options offer contrast by combining a dark color at the root with a lighter hue throughout the hair for an effect that looks natural.

This deliberately two-toned look pairs stylishly with slightly messy waves for a boho-chic experience, and lends a casual element to bobs.

Each wig manufacturer names this color option something different and uses their own description to reference it. For instance, Jon Renau refers to rooted colors as a "shaded" with an S before the color number in their Exclusive Color Collection. Examples include S12, S10, S8, S6, S4. Raquel Welch uses the letters (SS) in their color description which means Shadow Shade. Amoré and Noriko, which are both under the Rene of Paris brand, designate their rooted colors with a (-R). Henry Margu uses (GR), and Ellen Wille designates her rooted color options with the word Rooted after the color description.

We’ve put together an exclusive list of our most beautifully rooted wigs from 3 of our top brands to inspire your look this season:

Looking for a dramatic change? As the seasons transition to warmer temperatures, we look back at a hair landscape awash in bold cuts. Spring extends this creative energy with runway inspired trends that emphasize natural texture and color. This season’s trendiest hairstyle adds versatility to the mix calling for fun, playfulness and daring…

The long bob or “Lob” is a longer bob that falls between shoulder length hair and a bob.

Known in France as the ‘couper la Jeanne D’Arc’ (the Joan of Arc), it’s a practical style that encourages a more spirited side of your personality. And as a symbol of the strong, dynamic and fearless woman, it’s the go-to cut for many celebrities which is cementing this look as a major hair trend that’s in no danger of going out of style.

Long bob hairstyles are super versatile. It's a cut that can be worn stick straight for an up-town chic look, or with waves for that just-crawled-out-of-bed-hair trend.
