As you all know, earlier this month we launched three exciting new collections from the celebrity-endorsed brand known by its beautiful Bellas as the premier spot to get long, luscious locks. We are proud to welcome BELLAMI Hair to the Beauty & Hair family!

BELLAMI, which means “Beautiful Me”, continues to cater to the latest hair trends by introducing these glamorous 100% Remy human hair extension lines: Kylie Hair Kouture, Lilly Hair and Balayage by Guy Tang.

We took the first opportunity we got to try them on for ourselves, and this is what our Wig Expert, Roxie, had to say:

Guy Tang Bayalage Color: #1C/18 by Bellami Hair

This was my first experience with Bellami Hair, and I absolutely fell in love the second I put them in.  My hair has always been very thin, so I keep it in a medium bob because if I don’t the ends get brittle. I’ve worn many different brands of extensions and I couldn’t believe how well Bellami blended with my own hair.

Being in the hair business, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with lots of different wigs and extensions. What I love the most about Bellami is the wefting, which lies flat on my scalp giving the extensions the appearance of my natural hair.

Guy Tang is one of the most talked about color specialist in the world, and I got my perfect Balayage color! Color #1C/18 gave me the best of both worlds with the Platinum Gold Blonde tips accenting the Dark Chocolate Brown perfectly.

With my new hair I feel I’ve become a Bellami Bella!

    Kylie Hair Kouture

Kylie Hair Kouture Color: #2/TEAL by Bellami Hair

Here’s what we love about the Kylie Kouture collection: it comes in sixteen color options in the 180 grams, 20 inch range with six of the shades dipped in a vibrant Teal Ombre (giving you the opportunity to try a bold color statement without the commitment). The InvisiWeft technology not only keeps the extensions from shedding or getting tangled, but the wefts lie flat against your scalp and feels very secure. We were pleased to see how well the pieces can blend into your own hair elevating you to that next level of effortless modern glam!

    Lilly Hair

Lilly Hair Color: #2 by Bellami Hair

For when you want to achieve that voluptuous and glamorous look, Lilly Hair is excellent! Bigger is definitely more beautiful with this luscious line, giving you impressive volume and length in the 260 grams, 20 inch range by creating a fuller, more luxurious hair experience. It comes in twelve different natural hues from Jet Black, to Chestnut Brown, to Vibrant Red, and even Beach Blonde. We love that in-spite of the length the wefts are super soft and manageable. You’ll look gorgeous in these extensions; we were so in love with having long hair that we didn’t want to take them off!

    Balayage by Guy Tang

Guy Tang Balayage Color : #4/18 by Bellami Hair

As one of the most popular hair requests in salons, balayage is becoming a phenomenon. We love how it allows for a natural-looking and subtle, sun-kissed ombre. Brought to you by celebrity hair genius, Guy Tang, Balayage gives you instant salon-exclusive hair in five different colors with the Balayage 160 grams, 20 inch range, and Balayage 220 grams, 22 inch range. Our favorite thing about this collection is that it gives you the balayage experience without ever having to walk into a salon!

    Trends to Try

Every New Year begins with hopeful dreams and a daunting little thing called “resolutions.” The word alone is enough to scare anyone away, add to that - losing weight, saving more, getting out of debt and we're ready to throw in the towel. The problem with each of these goals is it takes time to see results - if any (come on, get real). Changing your hairstyle, however, is a great way to get an immediate sense of accomplishment. And most importantly, feel pretty.

So that brings us to today’s post: What’s on your head for 2012?

If you’re ready for a change, whether it’d be permanent or not, choose from the following hairstyle trends for 2012. But hurry because they're spreading like wildfire! As is the case with any trend, hair fashion this year is all about revival and evolution.

    Glistening Hair

No time for a blowout? No problem! Go a la naturale! Glistening slicked back hair, a.k.a. “the wet look,” has been prominent on the fashion runways and red carpets alike. Air-dry your hair, add gel and/or mousse to the roots and either wear your hair slicked back or in a ponytail. If you’re going to try this look on your wig make sure to use the appropriate products for your synthetic or human hair wig. This will not only ensure the best look but will prolong your wig’s longevity.

    Center-Part

Coined by Glamour magazine, “Cher hair,” the center part hairstyle is a throwback to the ‘70s long straight hair. For a bohemian look, simply air-dry and part your hair down the middle. If you want a super sophisticated look, straighten your hair with a flat-iron and finish off with a frizz-free hair serum. You’ll be singing “I Got You Babe,” in no time!

    Finger Waves

If straight hair is not the thing for you… but you’re kind of sick of spiral curls, finger waves might do the trick. This hairstyle was very popular in the 1920s and 1930s (think Roxie Hart/Renée Zellweger's hair in the musical Chicago). Apply gel generously to the hair, and comb the hair into ridges and curves using your fingers. Quick tip: an easier way to achieve this look is to create the ridges with a flat-iron instead of using your fingers; this will give you a softer look and last longer. The end result is an ultra glam Old Hollywood hairstyle. Who needs sexy? Let’s bring Glamorous back!

    Bold Color

Obviously Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are responsible for the bold color trend. Last year, the pastel color family was in vogue (cue Kate Bosworth’s horrible tie-dye highlights). For 2012, the bolder the better! From Selena Gomez to Katy Perry, numerous celebrities have started to show their true colors this year. Are you afraid of making the commitment? Try a wig! It’s the perfect way to experiment and have some fun. By the way, can somebody tell Kelly Osbourne that her grey-toned hair is so 2011? Actually scratch that, artificial grey hair has never (thankfully!) been a popular trend.

    Braided Updos

2011 was partial to the braid: side braids, high braids, low braids, and fishtail braids – you get the picture. Well, for 2012 the traditional braid is getting a makeover! Limp plaits are a thing of the past, now it’s all about twisted buns and intricate updos. Charlize Theron was one of the first celebrities to give this trend its debut at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. So all you savvy hairstylists out there give those fingers a stretch and get to braiding! If you’re not as experienced with weaving hair and the look intimidates you – no worries! You have all of 2012 to learn.

There you have it, all promising hairstyle trends for 2012! So which one will you try?

What do you think about the rooted look?

Many of the wig styles available on Wigs.com are available in 'rooted' colors for the same effect. It's true - now wigs are being made with a root slightly darker than the rest of the hair for a more natural and believable look. Wig manufacturers like Raquel Welch, Jon Renau, Noriko, Revlon, and Rene of Paris are all looking out for us!

Nobody has the schedule for frequent touch-ups at the salon - not even celebrities and movie stars. These days... it's a trend! Celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams and Madonna (to name just a few) all dare to show the rooted look ...

    Hairstyle with Rooted Look

    Shenae Grimes

    Sarah Jessica Parker

    Camila Alves

    Jessica Simpson

    Rachel McAdams

    Jennifer Aniston

    Madonna

    Rachel Bilson

    Reese Witherspoon

    Sandra Bullock

Our own hair grows darker and lightens with the sun towards the ends. So some say the rooted look is more natural.

Please let us know what you think about the rooted look!

It’s no secret that Wendy Williams - TV host of her own Wendy Williams Show - wears and loves wigs! Once one of radio’s most popular personalities and the author of two New York Times best sellers, Wendy is not afraid to mix it up. She experiments with different wig styles, lengths, colors and textures. See how Wendy shows off her celeb wig and expresses her style with wigs:

Gently rolled in a modern Farrah Fawcett flip away from the face

    Long straight layers

Wendy calls this celeb wig her 'Church Wig' - long sleek & straight layers with modern bangs

Curly Sue! Tight curls or waves mimic her spunky personality

Wendy calls this celeb wig her 'Gym Wig' and wears it to exercise. A bit frazzled but still makes a statement!

With friend and supermodel Iman, Wendy in a celeb wig with long, loose curly waves

We love that Wendy Williams is not afraid to try new hairstyles with the help of her vibrant wig collection. Want to experiment with color or style without the commitment of the dye and cut? Let Wigs.com help you find the perfect style for you!

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards aired last night, and the celebs wigs were hot. Along with the crazy outfits and popular performances we loved, Wigs.com spotted a few celebrity ladies donning wigs for the event...

Nikki Minaj wearing a pink beehive wig. She loves wigs with bright colors and pastels, and we like that Nikki is always trying new wig styles and shapes. This one pairs well with her purple futuristic costume.
Pictured with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas wearing a pink and black rubber wig. Interesting...
Rihanna performing with Eminem on stage. We've seen her recently with a short boycut hairstyle dyed bright red, but tonight she wore a wavy wig in the same color. We like the hair accessory and her take on the Madonna bridal outfit with combat boots.
The aficionado of wigs hersef - Lady Gaga wore a long, wavy lavendar wig with touches of bright blue on the ends. But a wig wasn't enough for this costumed queen; Gaga added a golden feather headdress. Later in the evening, she pulled back the wig into an updo for a wardrobe change.
