These are indeed as SOFT as described, and then likely a bit softer. I was quite surprised - especially since I already owned a couple other head coverings that I believed to be quite soft and comfortable. And they still are. But no comparison - nothing like the “Softie” collection by Renau.

I’d even go a step further and say that they are not only soft (even after many washings), but they are actually soothing for me, my scalp - for those times that the wig just must come off!! They allow my scalp some refreshment and relaxation.

I’ve got a few colors - they are vibrant and do not fade. I personally only wear them alone - not under a wig. I’m not quite sure how that would work out but it may be workable for some.

As far as this particular style “Simple Softie”, it does have a seam that runs around the top of the beanie, but it absolutely does not bother in any way. It seems to simply allow the cap to fit gently on the head instead of pulling on like a nylon or netted cap. Also has approx 3” area that is gathered or ruched - and I’ve tested moving it around. Very comfy in any position for myself, but I prefer it at the back.

Yes - it is a little costly in comparison to many others - but I’d say it’s definitely worth a try if your scalp/head could use some comforting relief.
