First, I gave 5 stars on another review on this same wig, different color. So, it's this particular wig and color that will make me return it.
Some other customers have said that the coverage is not as secure in terms of when the wind blows, you see the cap beneath very easily (my husband said the same thing, I was standing under a slow fan). But my other one was black, so it's harder to tell. If it's gray though, which this one that I got is, it's easier to see the issues.
The way the hair lies and flops on this one is weird. And yes I know you can rework it with water, heat, etc., but usually, when I get RW pieces, they come pretty nicely right out of the box. Having to rework it (and then not be able to return it, so you're taking a bet it will be better) is not something I like doing. It should be pretty good straight from the box and then you decide to keep it and make it yours through restyling as needed.
The hair just didn't look right. the way it lay and moves. Maybe it's just this piece and this color.

My baby has arrived!! I was literally stalking the UPS truck as it pulled up to my house...
I think I'm going to love this one. There are always a couple things to make it better - like the bangs getting in my face out of the box, but that will get trained over time.
I am now an experienced wig wearer. I own 5 wigs having tried and returned many more. By far my favorite wig brand is Raquel Welch. The lace front hair line alone is bar none the best. Mainly because the fibers are so much more fine in these wigs. The roots even on dark pieces look like real roots, not knots like the other brands (e.g., Ellen Wille).
Then, the moment I lifted this beauty out of the box - the hand-tied cap is sooooo light! I thought I might have to remove the silicon ear tabs and the tab at the nape but they didn't bother me when I tried it on, so we'll see how it does with time.
The style is flattering on just about anyone I think. (So long as you train the bangs away from the face). With little to no permatease, it still has great body, very natural looking and the density is perfect, so realistic.
It concerns me a little that you can see through so much at the back, I don't know why it looks like when the wind blows or a chunk of hair is lifted for whatever reason. I'm assuming it won't be too bad because I have dark hair underneath anyway so it shouldn't be too noticeable, but I don't know how it would look for ppl who have no hair.
