Voice | Peluca sintética con Lace Front (Mono Top)

This is my second Ellen Willie Voice. So, clearly I like it. I gave the first one 4 stars and I'm giving the second one the same, but for different reasons.

The good:

I love the cut. Even though it might not fall exactly the right way out of the box you can eventually get it to behave. I like the layers that create the very feminine body without too much permatease.

The cap fits nicely. And with this particular wig, the lace front with the knots was less noticeable despite the fact that I got the darkest color. The last one I got the knots were more noticeable.

The not so good:

Don't wear this out on a windy day. The good part is the lightness of the wig, but that means there's not a lot of hair. The layers and body hides things, but if the wing blows, I'm pretty sure you'll quickly see the cap underneath.

And also, despite the better lace front on this one, it's still not as fine as Raquel Welch's wigs.

Finally, I don't know if I can keep the same styling after washing and restyling. It's really hard to replicate how it is out of the box. I tried many many times with the other wig and it's still good, but not nearly as good as the style out of the box.

I'll start by saying, I probably spent more $ on return fees trying out wigs from this site than the cost of an actual wig! But I am determined to find the "perfect" wigs for me.

Voice is not perfect, and I'll tell you why. But I'm still likely keeping it simply because I'll never be able to make my hair take on this style! No matter what I do and how many extensions I put in. My natural hair just doesn't behave like this.

So why isn't it perfect?

I like the fact that it's pretty light for a longish wig. But it's also a bit of a con, because I can feel bumpiness in the back of my head from the wefting even tho a mirror doesn't show that you can see it. Still makes me self conscious.

I like how the hair feels - sleeker than the heat defiant fibers from Raquel Welch. But the ends still tangle very easily. And I know it will fray soon. I've barely put it on for an hour.

I like the volume of the cut, how feathery and wispy the waves are. But at the same time, there's a whole lot of volume! I feel like there's a permanent cowlick at the back of my head. Someone really went to town with permatease. And I'm not a fan of permatease. But actually it's just the cut and the layering. And you have to get used to it. I never wear my hair like this.

Finally, it's nice that the darkest color expresso is very close to RW's soft black, and most soft blacks that are out there. So I can switch between wigs and toppers and hopefully no one thinks I've been re-dyeing my hair every…
