Carrie Lite | Human Hair Lace Front Wig (Mono Top)

This was a beautiful wig out of the box. I washed and conditioned it as recommended and it now feels like straw and doesn't move. Trying to get my money back from JR and they tell me to keep doing things to it. I have put so much money into it already. I have a medical condition and can't afford to pay 3k for straw. Will never buy another JR. I am so heartbroken. Badly done JR.

I have several of the original Carries and while all slightly different (as is the case with any human hair wig) they are all beautiful. So when this "Lite" version came out, I was anxious to try it. I finally bought it--at 30% off it was still nearly 3 times as expensive as the original Carrie. Well, I wish I hadn't. Yes, the cap is nicer (it's hand tied) but that is the only good thing about it. The hair quality is no better (a little bit worse in fact). As far as the density goes, it is light, but that this mostly because of the cut--the bottom half of the wig is so sparse, it looks stringy. So here's my advice--if you like Carrie, save your money and stick to the original. If you must have a hand tied cap, I recommend trying Headliner by Raquel Welch--it's almost identical to Carrie in style and length and much cheaper than Carrie Lite.

I have had 2 Carrie lights. One is the Palm Springs Blonde color, one is Venice Blonde.

Both my Carrie lights came looking and feeling absolutely gorgeous in color and texture out of the box, which had me so excited. I love the feel of the wig cap on these pieces. Very light weight and comfortable.

The ear to ear lace is a little tricky to use over my natural hairline (i still have biohair, though thinning). My solution was to trim the lace/mesh to compliment my natural hairline and to allow me to pull some of my biohair out and blend with the wig fibers for a natural looking hairline.

What is extremely disappointing about both pieces is that after each VERY delicate wash they both quickly lost the lovely silky texture as well as their initial color and tone.

I style and wash my wigs per wigs.com instructions for human hair and use John Reneau human hair products. All very gentle and delicate to preserve the color and condition of the wig. I am also very careful when styling and use temps well below 350 F and use limited heat styling overall; only after washes to reshape.

After even the first wash the color at the roots started to fade and turned into to an orangish dark blond color. The silky texture turned very dry and the movement became less fluid and natural looking. Fibers at the nape and in the back back tangle very easily.

Loved it right out of the box. I use BeautyMark products for shampooing, conditioning, and styling as recommended. Use high end styling tools worth hundreds of dollars, and wash in cool water. This wig is very low quality hair. Very dry ends and extremely frizzy that I just can’t fix no matter what I try. It doesn’t move naturally like naturally hair due to being so dry and frizzy. And it has odd waves in the back that I can’t get out either. Very unhappy I spent so much on it. After only having it one month I already feel like a need a different wig.
