Carrie Lite Petite | Human Hair Lace Front Wig (Hand Tied)

I have a petite 21 inch head (professionally measured at a local wig shop). I ordered the Carrie Lite Petite Human Hair Lace Front Wig (hand-tied) in soft black (shade 1B). What a huge disappointment. This mass produced, over-hyped, over-priced poor quality wig from Jon Renau was an absolute joke. My head is very small, I can wear a youth sized cap. But the Carrie Lite "supposedly" hand-tied wig cap has absolutely zero stretch. Therefore its lace-front hairline, which felt like a stiff piece of plastic, would only reach to the front of my sparse widows peak. This "premium quality" wig sat on my petite head like a **** skin cap. The hair itself rather, than being a soft natural black, was an artificial blue-black with a shiny plastic doll hair finish. Remy hair? I don't think so, at least not after Jon Renau and company threw it into an acid bath, dyed the hair an industrial blue/black and coated it with silicone to mask the destruction. To claim this is a high quality wig worth over $3000 retail is pure deception. This wig is not worth $200. I briefly tried it on and returned it immediately. The reality is that the alternative hair industry offers us nothing but dismal quality and predatory pricing. I am done. I will stick to my claw clip. Do not waste your hard earned money on this garbage!

The item came straightened, with the hair being very soft to the touch. Once I decided to keep it, and I tried to remove the zig-zag part, I had to wash it and I was unable to eliminate the frizzy look the hair achieved. I am not very well-versed at all to use hot tools like hot brushes, flat irons and even a curling iron, so this might be part of the problem. I ultimately decided to wash it and use a diffuser to dry it curly. It came out with lots of movement and I am satisfied with it. I wish that Jon Renau would add the silicone strips at the ear tabs and the nape, like Ellen Wille does. For the price point of a human hair hand-tied wig, I think it's a must.
