The longevity of your wig depends on how well you maintain and care for it. Here are a few tips to keep in mind: 

• We recommend washing your wig every 6-8 wears. 
• Detangle the wig hair often with a wide tooth comb. (Never use a brush on your wig). Also, use a detangling spray for synthetic fibers.
• When you’re done wearing your wig, place it on a wig stand. You can also safely store your wig its wig box for long term storage
• When you wash or style your wig, make sure you use care and styling products that are specially made for wigs and formulated for each fiber, especially shampoos and conditioners.

• For a realistic hairline, you’ll want a lace front wig. This type of cap has a very sheer lace film that stretches across the top front of the wig. Very small hair fibers are individually hand tied into the material to look like hair growth.
• If you want a more breathable wig, a basic cap wig is what you need. Sections of hair (also known as wefts) are sewn into a thin elastic material that makes up the cap. The open spacing around the wefts allows air to pass. 
• For a natural look, check out hand tied wigs. The individual hair fibers are knotted by hand into the cap for comfort and realistic look. 
• Another option for a natural looking wig is a monofilament wig. The cap has sheer mesh fabric that allows your scalp’s skin tone to show through the hair fibers that have been sewn or hand tied into the material.
