What is a rooted wig?

A rooted wig is where the hair is darker at the roots and gradually blends out into a lighter tone to the ends. Rooted colors help give the wig a more natural appearance. Our collection of rooted wigs have a mix of both natural and fun color, so you can try out a new shade or find something similar to your current hair. Some of our rooted wigs even have highlights, blended shades, and ombre effect.

Do rooted wigs come in different lengths and textures?

Our selection includes straight, wavy, and curly hair textures in our rooted wigs collection. These types of wigs also come in numerous lengths and haircuts and lengths designed with these hair textures. If you want to wear a cute bob cut with a wavy hair texture or a sleek long wig with a straight hair texture, our rooted wig collection has an amazing selection of wigs.

Can I customize the root placement in a wig to suit my preferences?

We highly recommend taking your rooted wig to a salon professional. Trying to customize your wig might damage the hair fibers and ruin the wig. Can I find rooted wigs with different cap construction options?

Our rooted wigs come in a variety of cap constructions:

  • A basic cap wig is designed by sewing sections of hair, also known as wefts, into a thin elastic material. The open spacing around the wefts allows air to pass through for a breathable style.
  • A hand tied wig refers to the individual hairs being hand tied into the cap, giving them all the movement you love about natural hair! This type of wig is also great if you have a sensitive scalp!
  • A lace front wig gives you a realistic hairline. The top front of the wig has a nearly invisible film of lace with very small hairs individually tied by hand into the material to give the illusion of hair growth.
  • A monofilament wig has sheer mesh fabric in the cap that allows the color of your own scalp to show through the hair fibers that are either hand tied or sewn into the material. This cap construction creates the appearance of natural hair growth. We also have full monofilament top wigs where you can part or style the hair in either direction.

Are these wigs made from synthetic or human hair?

The rooted wigs in our collection are made from human hair and synthetic fiber. Some synthetic wigs in our collection are even heat friendly, so you can still style the hair with heat tools and change up your look with ease. Always check to make sure your wig is heat friendly before using heat styling tools. We recommend keeping your heat tools below 275° F, so you will not damage your wig.
