Curling Wand Curls

Curling wands became a big thing over the past 5 or so years, and it’s no secret as to why. Curling wand curls are nothing short of gorgeous and look best on those looking for mid length curly hairstyles. Why would you use a curling wand instead is just using a plain ol’ curling iron? Well, the answer lies in how it is constructed. A curling iron has one size throughout the entire barrel whereas the curling wand is cone shaped in its barrel size. The result is that the curling wand gives you more relaxed curls instead of tight, uniform curls.

Pin Curls

Pin curls are a bit trickier to pull off but can be done pretty quickly depending on how many you make. Need a quick curly hair tutorial on making pin curls? We will say that this particular method is not great for those with thick or otherwise really curly hair. It’s possible, but you may not want to try this if you’re pressed for time. Start by sectioning off your hair and detangling with a brush. Next, you want to tautly grip the hair by the tip and wrap the hair around two fingers. Slowly remove your fingers, leaving a small circle of hair or pin wheel. Continue to roll the hair towards the roots in a circle, keeping your pinwheel as you go. Secure flat on your head with 1 or 2 bobby pins.

Hair Roller Curls

Last but not least we have the hair roller curls. A fan favorite of women of all ages, hair roller curls are by far the safest way to get really curly hair without damaging your tresses. Whether you’re looking for super short hair or one of those mid length curly hairstyles, there is a hair roller out there to fit your needs. Did we mention that they come in all sizes as well? If you need another curly hair tutorial on using rollers, we got you covered. Separate the hair into three parts going straight back. You will have a left section, middle section, and a right section. Next, part smaller sections within each larger section based on how big your rollers are. The larger the roller, the larger the section will need to be. After parting your section, take your roller, and place the ends of your hair onto it. Make sure you roll the hair towards the root as you go. Clasp in place and allow to sit for at least 2 hours or even overnight if you can stand it. Once they’re set, take them a loose and marvel at your beautiful curls!
