It’s been a steep learning curve in the past few months, having gone in 4 months from a full head of hair and no idea about the different types of alopecia, to almost completely bald. But, I finally found the one for me: lightweight, comfortable, beautiful feeling and looking hair, and flattering for a round/square(?) and aging face.

A mostly bald scalp has made a hand-tied cap essential. The wefted caps itch even with cotton or bamboo wig caps on, and I find they can look a little puffy since they seem to be made with the idea that people have hair tucked under. This cap is so comfortable and fits snugly, but not tight. Usually I only wear wigs for a few hours at a time, but this one has been on all day and I *barely* feel it.

The multitude of layers and the light weight of the hair give me the look of beautiful long hair without overwhelming my face or dragging it down, or overheating me, or looking “wiggy”. The layers are long enough to wear it back off my face, with very good lace front to give a big variety of off the face options.

This pic is after opening the box, shaking it out, and putting it on several hours ago. Color is dark chocolate rooted, which is a tad lighter than I thought it would be but I’m fine with that — I feel like me again, I recognize myself when I walk past a mirror. So grateful.

My hair has slowly been thinning and getting some frizzy texture to it so that I can’t do anything with it. I started looking at this website and am so happy I bit the bullet and tried out wigs and toppers. Fortune was my very first purchase. At the time I wasn’t sure what I thought since it was weird to HAVE hair and, being a newby, I wasn’t sure how to style it. However, after cutting a few bangs and using clips to pull some of the hair away from my small face, I love it. The texture feels and looks just like real hair should.
