Detangle the Hair Gently. Use a wide tooth comb to gently detangle your curly wig. Avoid using any brushes on the hair because they can cause frizzing and the curls to lose their shape. 

Restore the Curls. Take sections of the hair and twist each one in the direction of its original curl pattern. The size of these sections depends on the curl size, i.e. tight spiral curls or loose wavy curls. Twist the hair until the hair bounces back into its original shape. 

Use Heat Tools. If your wig is heat friendly, the curls can also be refreshed with heat tools. If the wig is made with regular synthetic fiber, use either the aforementioned twist method or Envy’s 3-in-1 Airstyler. 

Store Your Curly Wig Properly. Always store your curly wig on a wig stand or mannequin. Be sure to cover the fibers with a hair net. After washing and drying the wig, the weight of the wet hair may cause the curls to loosen. By tucking the curls into the netting, the pattern will hold up for the next time you wear it.
