Wigs.com Supports The Frontline Responders Fund

Posted on April 22 2020

From all of us at Wigs.com, we want to say thank you for helping us raise $15,000+ for the Frontline Responders Fund. Watch our CEO, Carliz Moore, deliver a message to our Wigs.com community for helping us make this donation possible.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve all had to adapt to a new way of life. From social distancing to protective masks, our country has truly been tested on the meaning of community.

Community is defined not by our proximity to one another, but more rather the actions we take to stay connected and to help those in need. Everyday, doctors, nurses and hospital staff strive to aid and protect all those at risk of infection. These heroes stand strong at the frontline to fight for our chance at a better future. As this crisis worsens, hospitals face a shortage of masks, gowns and other critical supplies, ultimately leaving healthcare workers vulnerable to infection. Now is the time to take action, our frontline responders need us more than ever.

Frontline Responders Fund

Flexport.org has paired with the Charities Aid Foundation of America to launch a global initiative called the Frontline Responders Fund in support of those who put our lives before their own. Susy Schöneberg, founder of Flexport.org, aims to use their company resources to facilitate the transport of supplies to those who need it most. While masks, gowns and equipment are inexpensive, transporting them is not. Major companies have stepped forward and made large contributions to manufacture these goods, and with our help, Flexport can fulfill their commitment to getting them where they need to go.

In support of Flexport.org’s $10 million goal, Wigs.com pledged to donate 5% of sales from Wednesday, April 22 to Sunday, April 26 to aid our Frontline Responders as they battle this global pandemic. We are pleased to announce that with your help, we raised $15,551.20 over 5 days! THANK YOU! Your contributions helped make all the difference in the fight against COVID-19.

Highlighting Our Heroes

As a community, we must stand strong and show our support for the frontline. These heroes sacrifice so much to keep us safe, so it is up to us to ensure their protection. Together, we can make a difference and shape a better future.

To show our support, Wigs.com is highlighting frontline workers from a variety of fields who are taking on COVID-19 relief efforts front on. Read more about our heroes here.

Wigs.org

In 2018, Wigs.com created Wigs.org, which is a community forum that allows the wig community to ask questions and share advice, photos, and stories. Now more than ever, it is important to stay connected and remember you have an online support group. See more of Wigs.org.

Wigs.com Community

A few of our clients participated in the "Don’t Rush Challenge" and put their own spin on the trend by featuring their "Alopecia Babes". This is an example of the dozens of ways to stay positive during this time and make the most out of every day. We hope you love their video as much as we do! Hi,
I’m one of the nurses on the front lines. How does one go about finding out about wigs that might have been donated for us that wear them but can’t anymore because of the hygenic issues with covid and keeping ourselves from contracting the virus we’ve had to throw them away after having them been exposed to patients.

    Hi Elizabeth,

The wigs we carry on Wigs.com are from brands who manufacturer their pieces all over the world! If you’d like to know where a specific brand makes their wigs, please contact our Client Care Representatives at 800-581-2001 or at sales@wigs.com.

I am 70 yrs old. The top portion of my hair is gone. I am looking for a full lace front wig that has volume. Not stick straight. But long with bangs. I am reluctant to order because I did and it said human hair. It was awful.
I wake up every morning in dispair. Can you help me with some suggestions.
    Thanks
    Susan
