Katy Perry is one of the few stars that has managed to pull off every haircut, color or hairstyle imaginable. She first appeared on the scene in 2008 with her album One of the Boys, which featured hit songs including I Kissed a Girl and Hot n Cold.
Back in those days, she was well-known for rocking her signature glossy black hair (often matched with some eccentric accessory!) But in the decade since, we’ve seen her style evolve as we watched her experiment with various new cuts and colors.

Katy Perry recently chopped her hair into a pixie cut and dyed it platinum. And while we think it looks incredibly cool, Katy revealed that the cut wasn’t done entirely by choice.
The singer revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" today that her decision to go super short had more to do with hair damage stating "I don't know if you've ever dyed your hair blonde...Sometimes your hair falls out, when you go too blonde. So -- that's the way I handled it."
Perry went on to later explain that the cut was also very good for her mental health and allowed her to truly embrace the person she is. Kudos to you, Katy!
