Wigs.com: What Inspired Arabian Sand Blonde? 

Alexander (Noriko Designer):  Wigs.com wanted to give back to their customers: wanted something inclusive and that looked so amazing on some many different people. Here we go - we have paler skin tone [points to our model Roxie] and darker tone [points to model Shyla], and it looks amazing! And I tested this on dark skin and pale skin and it’s the best color I’ve ever [come] out with to be inclusive and to suit so many people. 

Wigs.com: Why Choose Angelica?

Alexander: It’s a Rene of Paris Wig that has stood the test of time. It’s absolutely amazing. 25 years plus and still has record sales…So when choosing Angelica, there is more than one Angelica out there, we decided to go with Angelica PM, which is a partial mono. It allows [the wig] to sit a little flatter on top [of the head]. I felt like that was the best cap construction to suit this wonderful color Arabian Sand. 

Wigs.com: Why Have We Done a Bespoke Color for Angelica?

Alexander: I was approached by Wigs.com who really wanted to give back to you guys: the viewers, the customers, to everybody involved in the brand. Wigs.com wanted to find an iconic style, like Angelica, and have a very unique color that would be fantastic not just for this skin tone or [that] skin tone but…something that can be what I call a “chameleon color” that will suit all. So this is Angelica in Arabian Sand which is the new color.

Wigs.com: How would you describe this color and the tone overall?

Alexander: It’s a really clean color. Definitely doesn’t have any brassiness within the color, which is something really important, but I didn’t want to lose warmth because…there are ladies out there that go through treatment that are wearing their wigs not just for fashion. Sometimes if you do have medical treatment, it can take the warmth out of your skin tone…You want to add warmth to that to help bring warmth to the skin. But ultimately, I wanted to see it on so many different people. So I would say it’s a neutral color. But we got highlights and lowlights of creamy blondes, chestnutty kinds of blondes in there which is a warmer blonde. We got golden, we got honey in there. Sand. Different sandy kinds of shades obviously. And then that beautiful kind of neutral chocolatey root there, which really helps draw in the different skin tones. So I would say a neutral color with elements of all cool and warm tones.
