Amber Human Hair and Mono Top

The hair texture of Amber Human Hair and Mono Top is silky and not too thick or thin. But maybe a bit on the thicker side, similar to Mongolian human hair. I picked a color too light, light chocolate, that also appeared to be more of a cherry blonde color. The synthetic colors are always darker and less reddish hues relative to human hair shades of the same named shade. Also, Heat friendly hair is always darker than regular synthetic hair. Just when you think you've learned everything about shopping for wigs online, there is always more to learn. The cap is a perfect average in my view. I sent it back for two reasons: wrong color and poly/mono top.

Amber Human Hair by Louis Ferre in Light Chocolate

The Amber Human Hair is very beautiful/soft, not thick as the hair on PLF 002. But I don't like how the bangs and crown are knotted in the direction that forces the hair forward instead of off the side or back. Maybe a stylist can handle it for someone that can afford them on a weekly basis. The color light chocolate in human hair is so much lighter than in synthetic hair. I expected that but not this much of a difference. I compared "Manhattan Soiree" in light chocolate syn (bottom or left) to "Amber" in light chocolate HH top/right and more reddish hue). The syn hair looks better in light chocolate. Both have wonderful hair textures but Manhattan seems to be one without natural movement and tangle prone. I also tried SoHo Chick in 8/30 or Toasted Brown which is a beautiful, warm medium brown but too dark for me. But the hair fiber on "SoHo Chick" almost felt like the luxurious human hair on Amber. SoHo' hair/knots are tied to force the hair back and not flopping in your face, and it has natural movement in the back like human hair. I want to now see SoHo in light chocolate syn thinking it will be a perfect match. But we know how that may go. I'll get it and the light chocolate will look totally different that how it did on Manhattan... or the knots direction will be forcing the hair in my face. Ughh. Also, I prefer open weft and capless during summer

Size Matters

Really love the feel of the hair and it's not too thick on the top which I like because it looks more real. I have a petite head so it bunches up toward the nape with the weight of the hair pulling the wefts down a little. I'm thinking of sewing a few of the wefts together to help it fit better on the back of the head. Overall I really like this piece and will order it again. If I could improve on it I would add more layers and add more depth to the color.

Disappointed

I was so excited about getting a "human hair" wig. It was beautiful until I washed it the first time...then it tangled and matted so badly I could hardly comb through it. I have spent over $50 on additional hair products to try to wash and condition it properly and it still frizzes and tangles when washed. Even after having it trimmed It continues to matte underneath which makes the wig stand out from my head. I am constantly having to brush it and put oils on it to try to keep it tamed. I am looking for another wig and will not put this much money into another one...definitely a disappointment.
