    Angela Wig

I love the color! Everybody has been complimenting me - most people don't even know that it is a wig.

    Pleasantly surprised in some ways...

I debated this wig for a long time because in most media, the bangs seem wonky, and in some review videos, it seems kinda poofy in a dated way. I've become tired of buying wigs that require a bunch of work before I consider them ready to wear. Anyway...

Right out of the box, I saw that, why yes, these bangs will need work, but overall the wig looked very promising, and marble-r is such a soft and very believable color. The cap is very well done and realistic.

So, Angela has a side part, yet the bangs turn in toward it, instead of following the flow and direction of the side part. It just isn't how someone would do their hair. The hair has A LOT of return hair in it, especially the bangs, aka the worst place to have an abundance of it. Return hair are fibers that are shorter than the rest and they tend to stick out. I feel like Rene of Paris monotop wigs tend to have a lot of return hair. You can carefully steam them (or carefully use either a hot air brush, or even more carefully, a hair dryer with a concentrator nozzle--not recommended by manufacturers or retailers, but I do it out of sheer frustration. Those return hairs are stubborn.)

I needed to trim the bangs. I steamed the bangs to improve the direction and return hairs. There's enough return hair throughout the body of the wig that it makes it look a little "ratty at the back", as my bff said. I want to take the time to tame the rest of the return hair, but I haven't yet. It's also a little tangly in general,…

    Ugly ugly ugly!!!

First of all,I usually love Rene of Paris, but this wig is awful and LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO. It doesn't have any waves,it's totally straight. They took the Stevie style and just added really ugly bangs to it. Mine was so thick and unruly and wouldn't even lay flat! The reason the Stevie style is so awesome is because the bangs are light and wispy. I don't know who decided it needed heavy metal eighties bangs!

    Looks great

I bought this in Dark Chocolate, and it’s a very nice dark brown blend. The one I received was very thick, and other online reviews of this wig suggest that it’s thinner than most wigs. However mine felt very thick, so I thinned if significantly with thinning shears, cut about 2.5 inches off the bottom, cut the bangs more, washed it, soaked it in fabric softener, then use a little bit of heat from a blow dryer with the hair damp to get the part just the way I wanted it. ( I know some of these steps are not recommended by wig manufacturers or by wigs.com, but I wanted to share how I altered the wig to make it look more real. I am not a professional, but I have figured out some tricks over the years with synthetic wigs.) I wore it to work today and received so many compliments, with everyone saying how real it looked and they could not tell it was a wig. Love that this is NOT a lace front, as I am tired of those. Only down side is the adjustable straps have a bra like closure that for me does not stay and pokes out under the sides. I used a hair gripper band and shoved the tabs up under it. It stayed secure with no issues with the velvet head band gripper for 13 straight hours of wear today. Overall this is a great wig, and I feel it’s even better with some personalization/modifications to make it even more realistic looks.
