Waves and Raves | Synthetic Lace Front Wig (Hand-Tied)

I purchased this wig three weeks ago, and I finally wore it for the first time yesterday. The fit is perfect on me. I love the silicone pieces inside the cap that grip your head. (I don't know if they are actually silicone, but I don't know what else to call them). I am bald, so not needing a wig grip is fantastic. The wig stayed secure on my head. It is such a great feeling to be able to put a wig on and not have to adjust it throughout the day or wonder if it is still in its original position on my head. I felt the most confident I ever have in Waves and Raves. I have been wearing wigs for 7 years. This is my first time purchasing a wig that has the silicone pieces inside. I wish I had known about these types of wigs before. From now on, I will look for that special feature. First, I need to find out what that is actually called and which wig brands use it. This is my first time buying the color Golden Russet. I was born a redhead, and this color BRINGS it! Red, brown, and blonde. It looks amazingly natural on me. The blonde highlights are mostly around the front and sides of the wig. The blonde highlights are obvious, sort of like how I highlighted my hair back in the 80's. If you're not looking for obvious highlights, this might not be for you. The highlights are not chunky, but they are obvious. I like my wigs chin-length, and this one is a little longer than that. My Waves & Raves wig in the color Golden Russett (R29/25) came today. I took pictures that include indoor and outdoor. I usually wear rooted wigs, but the description of R29/25 with its red and blonde just won me over. It did not disappoint in color. I was born a redhead, but as I got older, the color changed to more of a reddish-brown. Golden Russett is red, brown, and blonde - the best of all worlds! It looks completely natural on me. I was FOREVER searching for the perfect reddish wig. I have found the ONE. Now, for the style - it is a bit longer than I like. I have been wearing Trend by Tress Allure for a year now. I love Trend's curl pattern, length, and bangs. The bangs on Waves & Raves are long. Even when I tried to comb them down to be straight across the forehead like a full bang, they really don't have that exact curl pattern. The bangs seem to be more side swept. So that's how I'm going to wear it for now. The top layer of Waves & Raves is a soft beachy curl, but the underside is not as curly. The messy, beachy look with curly + straight pieces does take a minute to get used to. I'm tall, and the length in back would rub on a collared shirt. I will shorten the wig by an inch or two. I like my wigs to stop at chin length. There are a few unruly curls, but I've grown to expect that with curly wigs. The fibers are super soft. I love Waves & Raves and decided to try Shaded Sand (RL1621SS SHADED SAND) although Shaded Biscuit is my (19/23SS SHADED BISCUIT) my go to color, All the research I found indicated a warmer version of SB which I would would be perfect for the summer. Despite what the tag said, I'm convinced it was really Shaded Wheat. It wasn't even close to Shaded Sand.

I understand colors can vary but not this much. I realize that I could have/should have returned ut but decided to give it a try and perhaps I would learn to love it. Nope, not happening, leasson learned. Morale to the story, if you don't love the color when it arrives, return it!

This is my research (which was consist with other sites, I just screen grabbed these to keep) and the Shaded Sand that I got was spot on for Shaded Wheat.
